Of course he won't.
If he grants an exclusive, then the paper he gave an exclusive interview with will fawn, their rival paper ( e.g. if its the Sun, the rival is The Mirror ) will slate him but try to be PC about it.
The rest will comment neutrally, with maybe one or two with their own spin on it calling it an "exclusive". The broadsheets will make dry comments about the tabloids.
If he doesn't grant an exclusive, and talks to all, then the items reported in all the tabloids will be shorter, to the point, pretty neutral. Maybe one or two will claim an "exclusive" ( when it is no such thing ) to get you to buy theirs.
If he grants no interviews, then it will be more of a free for all and he will get "Recluse Pete" type stories, and maybe a few catty words but nothing terrible.
Because he has what is referred to as a disability, he will get careful handling. It is the way of the journalistic world.
So long as he doesn't say anything very stupid tonight, he will be fine. So put worries about press reception right out of your head.
However, how they treat his mothers willingness to reveal all at a crucial point is not predictable. In THAT way they might hurt Pete.
