I have recently bought a new computer, and all my songs are on itunes on the old comp.

Is there any way I could transfer the songs from my ipod or the iTunes on my old comp to the new iTunes on my new computer?

Not sure if I have explained it well but...

look for a piece of software called podplus - which enables you to transfer music from you ipod to your computer

If you are pulling all the songs off your iPod, then you do not need any software. (I've done this on a Windows PC, don't know if it works on Macs)

Connect your ipod to your new PC in the normal way. Windows should assign it a drive letter. Open the drive and navigate to the hidden folder iPod_Control, then to the Music folder.

In here are numerous folders with names like F00, F01, F02 etc. Copy ALL of these folders to your PC (preferably the iTunes Music folder, now start iTunes, ensure that iTunes is set to keep iTunes Music Folder organised.

Select File, Add Folder to library, select the location you copied the files from your iPod and click OK. iTunes will add all the track and rename and organise the files.

I'm pretty sure that on a Mac you would network the two computers (probably wirelessly, or you could buy an ethernet cable for a few quid) and then just drag the old iTunes library on to the new iTunes icon.

Presumably it's similar on a PC.

I connected my ipod but the only thing that happened is that iTunes came up. I went to all the drives (F,G, etc..) and none of them acknowledge that they are connected to the ipod?????
