Powering up nokio 7120

08-08-2006
A friend of mine gave me a Nokia 7210, he had
already removed the sim card.He assured me it was on vodophone . I put the phone on charge.
Inserted the vodophone sim and switched on

Nothing, the phone just would not power up.
I tried a Nokio sim same result I tried a Tmobile sim still the phone would not power up.

With the phone still connected to the charger
I could faintly see the battery status it appeared
to be fully charged, but at no point was the actual screen illuminated. Can anyone throw some light (pardon the pun)on this Please

OK an orange sim card then. Unfortunately some of us are not

mobile phone wise or knowledgeable. I have never had a mobile phone before

It is not a sim card problem. You should be able to power up any mobile without a sim but you will of course get a "sim card missing" prompt eventually. Sounds like a screen fault.

could be a power button problem.
