I have a 710 and would like to know if its possible to record from either line 3 or 4 whilst watching freeview on this dvdr. Dont think it is but worth asking. i can record freeview whilst watching my other receivers but not the other way around.

Thanks Mick

Yes it is - I have my Telewest cable box plugged into L3 and can record cable whilst watching freeview (or even a recorded programme off the HD).

How do you do this ? i have my sky box on line 3 and my sat receiver on line 4. But if i record say off line 4 and try to access a freeview channel it say something like operation prohibited whilst recording and wont let me go to a freeview channel. I must be pressing something wrong.

Thanks Mick

This is my config with Telewest cable instead of sky:

Set L2 and L3 to RGB

Telewest box - connected into L3 (IN) on '710
TV - connected to L2 (OUT) on the '710

I can watch cable or a HDD recording whilst recording freeview.

I can also record cable whilst watching freeview.

Use the TV/DVD button to switch between the 710 and Telewest.

See page 28 in the manual.
