Weird Phone Call
I have just had a phone call on my landline from a number starting '00207' followed by a 7 digit number. When I called it back the automated message told me it didn't exist, so I called it back minus the first '0' and got through to a mobile phone company. Does anyone know how they can call using the extra '0' and why was I told it didn't exist when it called me and why couldn't I ring it back?

Tut, tut, tut. Never is a good idea to call back phone numbers you don't recognise.
It sounds like the number got manged and an extra 0 was added to the number. 020 being the code for London. 7xxx xxxx being the local 8 digit number. |
