Anyone on here been to see Nickelback on their current tour?

Just wondering what you thought as I have tickets for Sunday at Manchester (MEN) Arena.

Not seen/seeing them on the current tour, but I did see them at Manchester Academy earlier in the year and they were superb. In fact one of the best gigs I had been to in a long time.

The only reason I'm not going to see them this time around is the massive increase in ticket price (I paid around £12 last time) and the size of venue - I have totally gone off the idea of seeing bands in anything larger than the Manchester Apollo.

I hope you enjoy it

Cheers - well they really did rock and the place was bouncing during "Too Bad"! Chads vocals are close to the album as well.

Never seen so many fireworks, flashbombs and flamethrowers - wonder if they could use those earlier in the week when the firefighters were on strike? Maybe they were using up a weeks worth at one gig!!!

I can see your point about not going as you saw them earlier in the year and they didn't have any new material out!

I was also surprised at the wide cross section of people there - I though (at the age of 40) that I might feel rather old but there were people from 8 to 80 (ok maybe not quite that old but at least 50!). First gig I've been to for 6 or 7 years.....damn wish I'd gone to see the Foo Fighters though!

Now hoping that Creed are planning on coming over.

I'm glad you enjoyed it and I'm almost sorry I didn't go along.

I know what you mean about Chad's vocal line - he is near perfect, something which rarely happens these days in rock/pop.

If Creed tour you can count on me being there (I don't care how big the venue is!)
