dawson, nice one buddy, that'll teach me from buying from a low rated ebay seller,
ive emailed her as she stated the phone was unlocked on the auction page, and is now stating that she didnt know it wasnt. Im assuming having been on ebay for a while that its the responsibility of the seller to have correct info about its auction, thus if something is not the case on getting the goods, ebay rules allow me to resolve the problem by asking for either a refund or in my case paying for the unlock? also is it ok to use market sellers? ive got one in my local shopping centre, chariging 5 -10 pounds per unlock? |

im sure this model needs test point unlockingso i dont think they will do it at stall as it needs taking apart and shield cutting to get to test point (and void warrenty) so will prob charge more than £10 as well

![]() You may need to look around, but there are 2 market stalls around here who certainly will unlock phones that require access to testpoint and they both charge £10 per phone for the service. It is true that if they need to remove or modify the protection shield they do warn you that that may well invalidate any warranty, but as this handset was bought second hand off ebay, I'm not sure if there is any warranty in place anyway. ahh ok
so its a case of looking around for a reputable person to be able to do test point unlocking the seller has donated £10 towards the unlocking so at least that side is sorted, not too fussed abot warranty as its a 2nd phone for my payg, and only cost £40 quid so its just wanting to get it up and running, having to use a brick of a nokia 6110 at the mo for my payg as my k700i decided to take a dip in the sink via the butterfingers of my pesky brother ughhhhhhhhhh! ill let u know how i get on byw if anyone knows of any test point unlockers who are reputable and charge a fair price for the l6 unlock in west or central london or nearby (even berkshire) let me know, pm will do too!! thanks!!! |
