Motorola L6 unlocked from Asda
I bought a Motorola SLVR L6 on Vodafone, last week from Asda for £49.47 (10% discount as my missus works there).
Got it home, charged it up, and took the Vodafone sim card out to try my Orange sim in it. Expecting it to show "subsidy lock code" or something similar, I was amazed to find that the only thing it asked for was my sim pin code. Entered that in and within 10 seconds it was connected to Orange. Looks like I got myself a bargain. Unlocked brand new L6 for less than £50. So if anyone wants one, get yourself down to Asda quick before the stocks run out!!! PS. Anyone else had this? |

Yes it was in a sealed Vodafone box, and it was Vodafone branded (the L6's are not branded as such, just that the phone has Vodafone startup and shutdown screen, screensavers and web settings).
I just connected the L6 to my pc with the missus's data cable from her V3 and deleted all the Vodafone stuff of it, got the Orange MMS and GPRS settings off there site and voila, a decent phone for less than £50!! One thing I did notice was that the phone had both Live! settings for PAYG and contract so maybe, just maybe, the wrong phone was put in the box. As some phones on contract do come unlocked.
