k800i how to install m2 mem card ????
hi there,
just got back from the local 02 shop with my shiney new K800i How do i open the mem slot though?? i dont wanna break it and there is nothing in the book about it. its prob just stiff. Silly question i know. ![]() *** edit *** Got it.

u dont get a mem card with the phone, but they put a 512mb in for me FREE

You won't break it, its scary the first time but as said above if you cab get the battery cover off with the battery in you will have no problem. Stick your fingernail under the cover and prise it upwards and it will lift off, there is a small strip of plastic stopping it falling off and you losing it. There is a fair bit of jiggling to be done to get it clear. The memory card NOT SUPPLIED (come on Sony) goes in up-side-down, then just push the cover back on. Seems daft this, no memory card with the K800i but with the phone one down from it (can't remember it's name) you get a free card, same type too.
Luckily they aren't too badly priced, do a google search and you should be able to get a 256 for around £20. So far I've seen them up to a gig in size, but the onboard memory on the phone's been fine for me up to now. |

there is a 2GB card
i have a 1GB in my K750i at the moment but will upgrade to a 4GB when i get my K800i
