Acer T/Mate 2410 HDD
Purchased an Acer 2410 widescreen laptop yesterday from Tesco's @299.99. Seemed a good deal.
Quoted as having a 40b hard drive but only 18+gb are on the C drive with the balance of 18+gb on D. Each drive at present has approx 16gb free space. Is the correct, can I infact use the D drive as a workingdrive as I am unable to view it contents. As this is only a "traverling" laptop, I may get away with the 18gb on C, but I am sure at some stage I will need more space. Any idea's?

Burn your recovery discs, then the remaining space will become free.

Thanks Telly_Man,
I did the disks yesterday and again today, still have the same situations. There is only about 500mb of used space on the D drive. It has in fact only one HDD fitted, 40gb. At this early stage is it worth restoring the factory setting and starting again, or is that a waste of time. Any help gratefully appreciated. Best regards Very

With the Acer's i've seen at work, i'm sure creating the recovery discs restores the free space.
Try running the recovery discs, that should sort it. My Acer didn't come set like this, i got a proper set of restore discs with it. |
