A voipcheap or one of their other companies that give free calls, account with an incoming number they no longer need?
My mum lives in ireland and i set her up with a voipcheap account the other day but they are no longer giving out incoming numbers

So if anyone has an account with an incoming number (preferably portsmouth but not essential) that they no longer want could they email me please?

Thanks

Well brass neck time for making your first post a request like this

I don't think you'll get any responses you want in honesty, why don't you try Sipgate or someone else for an incoming number? They're next to nothing for outbound calls anyway, or have 2 accounts set up.

Because
1: if you dont ask you dont get
2: a lot of people tried these companies and dont like the fact you have to top up with £10 every 90-120 days
3: my mother is almost 70 and in ireland and this is the simplest and easiest way to keep in touch with her family at the cheapest possible way
4: She dont have an english bank account and cant top up on sipgate or anything similar and they use euro's there not uk money not that it matters
5: Sipgate isnt free calls you have to pay for them.

IF you must know that is!

Rude???
You made a comment when none was needed and your comment was the one that was rude if you read it.
All i did was respond to your comment and answer the point you brought up.

Do you make a habbit of insulting people you dont know and know nothing about?

Yes rude, I have tried to be constructive and suggested you get an incoming number from Sipgate for free. With 2 accounts, one on Sipgate and one on VOIPcheap you have your inbound and outbound covered free.

There has been nothing insulting said, if you read back the posts you will see that. I'm not going to lower myself to reply to the last line in the previous post when you are taking something personally that in no way has been aimed as an insult.

And that, in my book, is rude.

i pointed out she was like 70 yrs old and in a different country, how many people that age do you really think could handle or even know what to do with 2 lines?
Also i pointed out they dont have any UK bank cards or credit cards so the only option to pay would be paypal

Without wanting to appear to be rude myself, you'd have to be completely loopy to hand over a phone account, registered to yourself, to somebody you don't know. Even if it is to save their aging relative a few pence. You'd also be completely loopy to request the same. IMHO, of course.

If one's so concerned about the penny a minute that Sipgate or Draytel charge an elderly person, then set the account up in one's own name and foot the bill oneself!

What's an elderly person, who can't manage phone lines, doing with broadband anyway? There are cheap ways to call Ireland with an ordinary landline. The elderly person can call the family, and they could phone back using a cheap alternative provider. Got to be cheaper than forking out for Irish broadband?
