Digital Camera Problems

Hi Guys,

I have a Fujifilm FinePix A203 Digital Camera, which I took on holiday to take pictures. I have come to the end of my second week after taking pictures on my first week and transferring them to my laptop.

I have now come to the end of my second week, after taking loads of photos and my digital camera has developed problems.

The First problem is I am unable to close my camera properly and when I switch to photo mode to take pictures it doesn't open correctly and I get an error which says

Zoom Error!

(It looks like the zoom lens has come off its runners)

The second problem is that when I take a photo(s) it automatically protects the picture(s) so it will stop me making a mistake but when I try and view them (switching to view mode) all I get is a BLANK blue screen.

This happened after I received this Zoom Error and it doesn't open correctly.

Is there anything I can do to retrieve the photos as they are really important to me as they are of my second week of my holiday!

Any URGENT help appreciated

Thanks

Craig

Get a card reader and use that to take the photos off the camera. They're not very expensive.

It may well work if you connect it to you PC. You should be able to simply navigate, via My Computer or Explorer, to the camera's subdirectory.

Is it really physically damaged? If you took it within smelling distance of the sea, swimming pool or tropical rain fall, it is probably water damaged.

Jump down (not literally, unless you're superhuman) down to your local shops and try the card in their machines. Our local ASDA have one and I think more and more are getting them
