iPod question....

Hey

Is there any way I can easily set the 'play count' number without actually playing it X amount of times? I moved my itunes libary over to a new hard drive, and I want to set the 'play count' back to the way it was.

Any software that can manipulate itunes or any other way I can do this?

Thanks, in advance.

Are you looking to reset your playcount back to 0 on all items?

If so, go to your library and click on "All (XXXX) Artists". The hit ctrl and "A" and right click anywhere on the selected songs and you'll get a "Reset Play Count" option."

However, if you want to set each tune to a certain playcount the only way I'm aware of doing that is to play the song in your library, and then fast forward it to the very end of the song and let it roll onto the next one. Your playcount for each song will only increase if you let it play the whole way through.

Well you could do it if:
1)you ipod hasn't been plugged into your computer since you moved your music library -by using a piece of somewhere that reads the play count off your ipod
2)if you have a copy of the .itl file in your iTunes library - again before you moved your itunes library.
