Vodafone Customer service
Hi guys just coming to the end of my 18 month mobile contract with vodafone tomorrow, I have just been on the phone to the cs department and i was given horrible attitude by the rep, she must be having a right bad day lol
well anyway i told her my contract ends and i don't want to continue to extend it, so what she says is that i have to send in a letter to cancel giving 30 days notice is this right ?i have never have writen to cancel before with any other provider before this is the 21st century HELLO vodafone, is it possible to cancel over the phone ? i also asked should i cancel my direct debit and she says there is one month left to pay but my contract ends tomorrow hmm wierd Whats there problem i don't want to continue with there rip off service and they give me bad attitude over the phone they can stuuf them selfs with oxo lol |

I'd keep away from O2 as well then, as they require notice in writing according to their terms & conditions - they sometimes allow cancelling by phone but it's much safer if you send written notice using signature on delivery as you then have proof that such notice was sent/received.
As for the DD, well the contract can't end tomorrow as you need to give 30 days notice. Also they will need the DD to collect charges you accrue during that period of notice (e.g. call charges) |

O2 require a letter for offline customers
Online customers can do it over the phone. Though this is hardly a good reason not to go with a network because you have to spend 90p on a letter (send recorded). |
