I think you'll find that sex sells a lot of records. That's why the video is all arse cheeks, legs and everything else. The video's cost a fortune whilst the record cost relatively nowt to make.

Your comments are unfair. We went to his concert at Hampden last year and it was a brilliant show. And there were all ages there: from kiddies to 60 year olds. And although there were more female fans than male ones, it certainly wasn't 98% to 2% - more like 60% - 40%.

You say that he isn't a great singer. Probably true. But he is very, very good. The sound on the live show was excellent - just as good as the recordings. And you can't deny that he has done a great job in introducing lots of young people to the music of Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis & Co.

Robbie Williams may not be a great singer, but I have to say he is a terrific showman.

We went to see Elton John at the weekend and the show was extremely professional. Elton sang really well and his band was terrific. However, it still has to be said that overall the show didn't compare with Robbie's.

No, Rik waller was a flop because he did not very good cover versions. He has a good voice, completly mismanaged. He made the final 10 of pop idol, (was voted into the final ten by the public), he never lost a public vote, he pulled out cos of health reasons.

The song has to have appeal, otherwise no amount of sex will make it sell. The song doesnt have to appeal to YOU personally, but if enough people LIKE the song, then thats the bottom line.
If it was just 'sex sells' then Holly Valance would be number one.

Kylies songs, whilst undoubtably supported by sexy vidoeos, are very good songs for the genre!. if you dont like the genre then fair enough, but the songs themselves are very good examples of popular dance music.

Never his greatest fan I admit (though I did like 'Kids') - Feel just 'feels' like a pop version of a Manic Street Preachers record.

Not that pop can't be depressing yet brilliant at the same time - look at 'Victims' by Culture Club or 'Nothing Compares 2U' by Sinead O'connor. Robbie just seems to have his "poor me" hat on all the time.

I'm not taking away from his demons - drink, drugs and depression are all hellish experiences. But he's a young lad with a great career, an unimaginable amout of money, he's beaten his demons and and his mum loves him. Cheer up Rob, for gawds sake. Most of the human race are worse off in most respects than you.
