Looks like Christmas in Albert Sqaure is going to be less depressing as Corrie this year...........Now theres a suprise

Originally from the sun

EastEnders, BBC1 -There is a Christmas shocker for Zoe Slater when she finds out that her ex-lover Anthony is now with her mother Kat. But she fights her feelings and leaves them to it.

After a year of strife, the Slaters are planning their happiest family Christmas ever. It’s Little Mo’s wedding to Billy on Christmas Day and Zoe is back well in time to be a bridesmaid.

But sparks fly when Zoe discovers her ex-fiancé is in love with Kat.

"It’s a huge blow for Zoe," says Michelle Ryan, who returns on screen early in December to her role after a long break due to nervous exhaustion.

"She finds out about Kat and Anthony when she catches them together at Christmas. Considering they have both been so understanding since she returned, Zoe is terribly upset. She can’t believe what is happening.

"Zoe tries to be really brave and decides that the best thing to do is to let Kat and Anthony get on with it.

"It’s very difficult for Zoe because she still really likes Anthony and it is going to make the relationship between her and Kat even worse than it’s ever been before.

"Any chance of them being really close as mother and daughter is ruined for Zoe.

"She tries hard to bury her feelings and she gets a lot of help on the Square from her friend Kelly, who has come to Walford with her."

But before her heartbreak, Zoe is delighted to be a bridesmaid for Little Mo.

"The wedding was great fun to film," says Michelle. "The whole cast get on extremely well and those two days on location were a laugh - even though it was a bit cold to be wearing a bridesmaid dress!

"I’m having a great time since returning. Everyone has welcomed me back and been really supportive."

The Slater girls let their hair down at Little Mo’s hen party as a Santa stripper provides the entertainment. And after a series of last-minute hitches, the wedding is a success.

Christmas is a highly emotional time all over Albert Square. Jamie is in a critical condition in hospital after being injured in a car accident caused by Martin.

Sonia waits anxiously for news of any improvement but Phil is not optimistic and clashes angrily with Martin in the Square.

Phil overturns Martin’s stall and warns the traders not to go near it - but Mark returns to stand up for his brother and gets a hero’s welcome.

Ian confides his fury over Laura’s pregnancy to Mark and Pauline. He is set on revenge but they try to persuade him to think again.

Ignoring them, Ian reveals to a shattered Laura that her baby can’t be his because he’s had a vasectomy. He’s incensed he’s been deceived by a woman yet again.

On New Year’s Eve, a frustrated Natalie marks her third wedding anniversary by having a passionate snog with her first love Ricky

Obviously not..........meningitis is a disease of the brain, therefore it's technically impossible for any of the EE cast to contract it!!

if they had done the meningitis story it would be over to quickly. now they have martin getting stick for a couple of months. phil will probably get arrested for beating him up adding another story line. sonia will be depressed as usual but will forgive him eventually. the meningitis story would fizzle out to quickly.
