You will need to report the theft to the spanish police if you want to claim your phone back on insurance if you are PAYG.
I think 02 is Movistar in Spain. Spanish police or your tour rep should be able to help. |

get it reported as quickly as possible - they'll probably hold you liable for any costs the thief has run up after it was stolen, if its a contract phone!!

Hi i got a number from saynoto0870.co.uk and i rang them so they said they will cancel the sim card and block the phone so whoever nicked canīt use it.
How can they do that if they have removed the sim card? Also they are sending me a replacement sim card with the same number and iīll also get my free texts etc. Thanks for everyones help, much appreciated. |

As already mentioned 0870 numbers should work abroad, they will certain work in CAMEL agreement countries such as Spain, and you wont even need to put in the +44 part.

Glad you got it sorted out and hope it didn't spoil your hols too much Quote:

What they do is block the IMEI number of the phone, this means that anyone who puts any sim card in the phone will get a message saying "invalid sim" or something like that.It will render the phone totally useless
