Philips DVDR5350H recording from Sky+ ...?
Himi2
16-08-2006
Recently bought a Philips 5350H to archive stuff from Sky+. Managed to get the copied progs onto the HDD, but in one continuous lump, so needed to edit in breaks before transferring to DVD.

When I tried to edit, I got an error message that can't edit on programmes in the "time shift buffer".

How do I record the progs from Sky+ in such a way that they're not in the time shift buffer?

Also, is there a way to copy from SKy+ box in such a way that the progs are already separated?

Cheers,

David

What the box means is that the programmes which were recorded are still in the buffer used to rewind "live" tv.

Switching the box off to standby and then on again will clear the buffer and then you can edit to your hearts content.
