Merry Christmas, by the way the Stalker really is Ray as in Ireland they are showing a trailer of Louise in the car with him and the car starts to swerve.

bang on and so predictable , guessed it about 3 weeks ago just dragged on too long, lost interest.

I really enjoyed last nights Emmerdale. However, a few things annoyed me. For instance, Ray had been driving for a while and at quite a speed when he realised Louise knew he was the stalker - so how on earth did Louise managed to run all the way back to Emmerdale, especially when their car had crashed? That goes the same for evil Ray as well. And why did Louise not have a mark on her? And it really annoyed me the way she ran straight back to their house, after a pathetic attempt to try and find Diane. Why would you run back to the house where you lived with a man who terrorised you? She could have gone to the B&B or Marlon and Tricia's house - there were people in at both of these addresses. And also, why on earth didn't she ring the police? I know I would have & it would make perfect sense, but instead she rings her friends!
A good episode though I thought. I liked the attempt to make it like a horror film - what with the music, and Ray's bloody face and Louise's scream at the end. I'm looking forward to tonight's!

I too enjoyed last night's Emmerdale, and agree with the last point....... Ray and Louise had driven quite a distance and at quite a speed before she copped on....... is Louise a secret marathon runner and we just dont know !!!!! How on earth did she get back to the village on foot . This girl is a foreigner and in a state of extreme distress, yet she displayed an ordinance survey knowledge that deserves a medal. Didn't she pass a single car on her entire LENGTHY trip back - weird. And as previously noted...... why on earth did she not call the police, crazy !!!! What got me most of all was....... Ray was left obviously stunned and bloody in the car, if this was reality he would have to be helped into an ambulance with a most probable concussion and suffering from shock. BUT NO...... this is soap land..... and Ray manages to show up at the cottage less than one minute after Louise does, obviously another one hiding his cross country hiking certificates How on earth did she miss him fifty yards behind her on the entire journey back, and given the fact that he had ample opportunity to bump her off anywhere along that dark and empty road...... WHY DIDN'T HE !!!!!!! But no......its more dramatic to have Louise trapped in a house..... with MAD MAX in front of her, and the entire village up at the big house !!!!! We will of course have the very very very obvious ending as Terry shows up at the last moment having heard the panicked message on his answer phone. If that girl had done it right,,,,,, she could have had the entire of Scotland Yard screeching to a halt in the village, BUT NO !!!!! Much better ratings this way. By the way,,,, just sidetracking this particular storyline..... anyone else see a potential situation arising where Bernice wont give the child back to Ashley...... she does have her for Christmas , doesnt she..... or am I being too melodramatic !.

Thought it was really disappointing myself - almost any of the stalker alternatives suggested here would have been better entertainment!

And I hated the abrubt hardman-to-psycho transition Ray made in the car. I appreciate that Emmerdale is not all about realism, I just think they could have made far more of it!

I wish it had been Laurel the mad bee woman. That would have been worthy of Sunset Beach!!

I actually thought it was really damned good. Yes yes, there was the obvious "why didn't she call the police" business but this was no more stupid than what other soaps are like. And did we really know that they had driven a long way? I didn't think they had...plus being the countryside, it's quite possible the Emmerdale houses WERE the nearest things to her.
Secondly, she thought he was dead, so running back home first wasn't that unlikely. Ray was actually fairly fine I guess save for a few nasty cuts...he probably heard her get out of the car and chased her home and would killed her had he caught up with her - perhaps he DID have some injuries that slowed him down. I'm guessing those injuries are what stops him killing Louise so she can smash a vase over his head tonight The phoning Terry business WAS bizarre though...no point in that.

All in all, I thought it was very well set up and not too impossible to believe, the eery music was a SUPERB touch and highly entertaining stuff! The tension was fab and the ending was great, almost scary. Combine this with the other amusing antics going on that Emmerdale does oh-so-well and it made for a fabulous episode
I'm actually not ashamed to say that this has been the highlight of Christmas TV for me!

What on earth is she doing, All she needed to do was tell the truth with a little bit of a self defence story at the very end. The local Police would have given her a medal for getting rid of a major criminal.

I am very tempted to ring the Police myself and tell them, the truth.
