Napster to Go
Magic Cottage
19-08-2006
Are there any subscribers to above service out there is DS world.

Not looking for comments on the pros and cons of the service. Just need to know if anyone else is experiencing problems before I start tinkering around.

Their customer services don't work weekends.

Got the creative zen vision m (wow) on monday and have loaded it up with 10 gigs worth of music/comedy content from napster so far.

No problems at all and are very happy with the service.

For some unknown reason I couldn't get my visa card to be accepted by Napster so I ended up going with Virgin digital, it seems to be exactly the same content and price structure but with a different interface.

With Napster's customer services and 40 minutes on the phone have now sorted the problem. It seems that over zealous use of CCleaner caused the problem. It saw the Napster database file as a temporary file and deleted it. Result Chaos.

Just goes to prove that CCleaner and other such programs should be used with great caution.

I am using Napster to Go with my Creative Zen Vision:M

If I download an album from Napster when the Creative is connected it also copies to the creative.

However, I have made some changes in my PC music directory, and would like to sync to the creative. When I try using wither the creative or Media player software it takes forever/freezes (I think over the wma files), btu I cant see a sync option in Napster anywhere.

I have various misc free downloads from smaller bands, that are not "albums" as such, which is what is causing the problem.

Any suggestions? I am confused over wether to use just Napster, or WMP or creative s/w as well?

Yes, you can have up to 3 PC's anywhere in the country. This does not affect the fact you can still use up to 3 MP3 players on the same account.

I've used Napster for months now, originally with a Rio Carbon and Palm Tungsten; now with a Zen Microphoto and Palm TX. I tried Virgin and HMV and found Virgin's selection of audio channels very limiting whilst HMV's software was endlessly updating or crashing, so stayed with Napster.

Napster also use 192k for most of their 2 million tracks now; AFAIK the other 2 rivals only use 128k.

And if you are into classical music, Napster now has a huge range, increasing all the time.
