I'm sure it was to a certain extent staged, lets face it most of it is, but I thought it was hilarious. Especially with the Jaws music playing in the background

I loved it when she winked at him at the beginning of her daughter-in-law's audition!

Ooh God, no! It would be bad enough failing anyway without your mother/mother-in-law piling in after to add to the embarrassment. She was like a rent-a-comedy-granny. I know we're all supposed to love our children but if I had a child that sang like that, I'd encourage it into another career - mime possibly.

Of course the whole segment was totally fake.I am sure that the judges have complete security and there is no way that a shunned contestant (or hanger on),could get in to give them a piece of their so called mind if it wasn't in the interest of "entertainment".
I just wonder if this Edna was actually born a man.Very butch!! Perhaps she and Lottie could get together and come back for the groups next year! |

Totally staged, as the panel were obviously told she was coming back in. Funny though.

I think Simon was put in his place. Even he said he felt really after she had a go at him.
Go Edna!!!

![]() Yes, that was hilarious - and the line about Simon's teeth made me laugh as well. Who cares if it was staged? It was still very funny. And I reckon the security are there to stop fights... I don't reckon they would have thought there was much to fear physically from Edna. Sure, they knew it would be hialrious so they let her in, but where's the problem with that? If they deliberately cut out everything that might be funny in order to make the show more 'real', I highly doubt I'd bother watching it! |

Why would she have been in there anyway?? No one else ever seems to have anyone in with them for support. Thats what made it so obvious!
