re bluetooth
forgive my ignorance here but am new to b/tooth,me and my pal both hooked up our phones via this method but were then stuck as what we could do ?? there didnt appear to be any way of sending stuff from one to another without the usual method of texting? so what is the point? also you have to pair up with the other phone now purely by coincidence we just tried 12345 which worked is this the default? and how do you know what your pairing number is? all seems a bit confusing to me,so if anyone could help (and keep it simple that would be great) if it helps mines a noxious 6233
i have for example done a search in a pub for other b/tooth phones and sure enough up comes the odd few but how do you pair with them?? dont undertsand Last edited by oscar12 : 20-08-2006 at 12:04. |

If I was to pair with you it would ask me for a code. I could put anything 123 say, it would try to connect to you and you would need to put the same code in. It's only specific to that initial connection. When you pair with someone else you can use any code at all. Just so long as you both use the same code. Once you are paired you shouldnt have to pair it again unless one of you remove each other from your list.
On my phone I would pick a file/picture/sound etc and click Send. It then asks me what mehtod, of which I choose bluetooth. Next it asks where to, and I'd pick you (you're pal, whatever) it would then flash up on their phone that I am sending something (sometimes asks if you want to accept). What phone do you and your pal have ???....as someone with that particular phone can take you through it's menus. |
