My phone is completely dead it has been since saturday, Strangely i can still access the internet with my adsl router but the speed is dramatically slower (416/384 Kbps it says that in router control panel but more like 56k)., I also tried a working phone which i kept spare when i bought this one in decmber.

I plugged them straight into the wall incase it was my wiring at fault.

I reported this online at the Homecall/pipex website and had no contact at all by monday so i topped up my mobile and rang them (0870 ), Now they say the fault isnt thier "END" and i must pay for a engineer to come and check my equipment (I am really scared and slightly aroused LOL)

And its upto 72 hours before anybody will be here WHY ME!!!??? *CRYS*

No need to call the rip-off 0870 number use:

For 0870 2202112 call 0161 4511000 or 0800 1076443

For 0870 1423450 call 0161 4515145 ask for Tech Support.

If you have connected a known working phone into the test socket on the NT5E master socket (without filter) and therefore all extensions and modem/router not connected and you still get no working phone then the fault isn't your side.

Yep thats what i did. I have had something like this happen before to my broadband were it went off and wouldnt connect with any of my modems, I still got charged £65 and £10 every 10 minutes even tho they left with out it working and no proof it was my equipment. Then 5 days later pop it works

Update: All phones in my road are up the wall, BT say they will fix them by the 26th.
