Im ashamed to say that Im 24 years old and I watch it when I can . I don't even have the excuse of having small children of my own either.

But its great, so random and weird and I love the cheesy songs that they sing in it. Its the sort of show I'd have liked when I was a kid.

It looks foreign, anyone know what country it comes from.

It is from Iceland. I also watch it but I use my toddler as an excuse. I have rude thoughts about Sportacus as well, it is the athleticism!

I think Robbie Rotten is quite cute

Is he the superhero who does all the back flips and summersaults and stuff? Is he really doing that? It has to be stunt double or something?

Yes, that's Sportacus.

I can't work out how the action stuff's done either

Also I can't work out if the person playing Stephanie (the girl with the pink hair) is actually a girl or a young-looking woman

In fact the whole thing freaks me out completely. I'd guess it's probably popular with students and all-night clubbers returning home, in the same way as 'Teletubbies used to be?

The girl who plays Stephanie is 15 according to IMDB, she looks like she's supposed to be 11 or 12 though.

My kids love it - personally I think it is very strange.

And my wife has a crush on Robbie Rotten!

That makes sense, she looks young but she comes across as quite an experienced actress.

Yep I think its great, most of Robbie's humour must go way over the head of little children.

Some info for the questions asked in this thread:

Julianna Rose Mauriello (Stephanie) is now 15, but 12-14 when filming Series 1 (the one youre watching). Stephanie is meant to be 8.

Sportacus used to have a stunt double called Joe Eigo, but http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UXTFhhivrfw

. .nows he left, but there are loads of other stund doubles too. (Stephanie also has a stunt double).

I love the songs, theyre some of my favourite songs in Itunes .

Surprised to see this thread crop up

My 4 year old loves it. I bet he'd love your company too . You don't need any excuse to watch kiddy programmes. I love watching Sabrina The Teenage Witch for example and I'm not ashamed.

The songs sound alot like the cheesy Euro-Pop stuff that Aqua and The Vengaboys used to do, its really infectious and gets in your head.

Yes, I'm a grown up adult male, and I love this show.

There's just something about it that grabs you. Fun music, terrific special effects and a surreal style that really tickles my funny bone. As i was just saying on another thread, I don't remember kids TV being this terrific when I was a kid.

Times have really changed.

I've seen this, but only because I was instantly struck by the visual style of it.

I can't stand it! Every time it comes on, I have to turn it off. I was really surprised to find that people actually enjoy it. I think it's a load of rubbish!!!!!

I'm gonna have to say, i'm gutted, I really thought that Magnus done all his own stunts, I thought he was great and was amazed that he could still move like that, especially as he's in his late forties, but now I will never look at him the same again.

There is also a cd out that has 16 tracks on it!!!

More than likely, probably has something to do with the bright colours and loud noises

I love it. My son (2 and a half) goes through phases with it. And, yes the songs are cheesy and very euro-pop but they are great in their own way. My favs are "Cooking by the Book", "Teamwork" and the good old "Bing Bang"

Don't be too harsh on him, he is still an olympic athlete whos fit and strong, hes just not quite a gymnast who can do double twisting back flips all day long nows hes in his fourties . .

BTW for those who are interested www.getlazy.tk is a great site I came accross that has songs for download and info.
