Haven't come across them in the UK, but there are a few from americans on ebay. Santy Claus has just bought my boy a proper Sportacus costume (much better than the half-hearted effort they do at Argos) and a Sportacus backpack from ebay (Ty's Toybox to be precise). Only took about a week to get here, but watch out for customs charges

It's a bit scary. I've grown up being into Guns n Roses, Aerosmith, Def Leppard, more recently Green Day, Linkin Park etc.

I've now got a LazyTown CD of more than 30 songs in the car, which just plays on repeat.

I think I need help.

BTW you can hear all the season 1 songs on Nick Jr Radio

And you can download them directly! This link is a zip file containing the URLs of (almost) all of the Nick Jr Radio mp3s. There are a few LazyTown ones missing from the list, but the filenames are easy to guess!

Compare the opening titles. When Stephi's stood there with her suitcases she virtually fills the whole screen on Nick Jr. On CBeebies there's so much more on screen either side of her.

Take a look at the videos on the official lazytown website. They are all 16:9 ratio. Compare them with the CBeebies versions (I just have, cos I've got them all on my PC (for my little boy obviously )). They are absolutely identical.

But let's not detract from the fact that LazyTown is the best tv programme ever made, and even when it's cropped it's still fantastic!!!

Never use a messy recipe.”

I think the BBC are using a 4:3 print for some episodes.

I do kinda like Lazytown as well, always loved Robbie's comedy eyebrows!

Just been on IMDB, very shocked to see what Robbie Rotten looks like in real life - you wouldn't recognise him! And the dude who plays Sportacus is 42, not in his late forties!”

There was an article about the show in the Daily Mirror last week and a little interview with the guy who plays Sportacus. The Mirror was connected the show with it's anti-obesity campaign

I'd be really surprised if this was the case. By the time you've chopped the left and right off to make it 4:3 and then you chop the top and bottom off that, there'd be hardly anything left!

A lot of LazyTown is close up full head shots. This isn't a problem with panning-and-scanning to 4:3 cos the whole head still fits in the frame. But once you crop it top and bottom, Robbie Rotten won't have a chin or eyebrows!!! It just wouldn't work.

Yeah, CBeebies have already shown some of them (Haunted Castle, Rockin Robbie, Little Sportacus). Nick Jr are apparently going to start showing the new series from October

lazytown is excellent. Besides the fact that sportacus is dishy, it has turned my 2 kids into dancing excercising freaks who are always trying to do pushups and cartwheels etc. Not to mention the amount of 'sportscandy' ( water , bananas etc) they are eating because of this programme. It's made a huge change in my house which I am really grateful for.
We have all the songs downloaded from series 1 and their never turned off.
Even my husband goes around singing ' this mailbox is mine' all day long..

I've just been handed an urgent message from our "I just can't believe someone actually registered that domain!" department.

It's not a very good quality version of the song, but I love the fact that someone's gone to the trouble of registering the domain!

I wonder if it would be worth my while registering www.someonesintrouble.com or www.ziggyssweetsaremine.com

Does anyone know when is new season of LazyTown starting on NickJr? Next week BBC is repeating three new episodes they already shown but according to Digiguide there is nothing new on NickJr until the end of October contrary to some reports suggesting season 2 should start sometime about now.

I can't believe my first post is going to be about 'LazyTown'...
Anyway, my kids are big fans, so I often end up seeing it. What really made me laugh though was the episode when Robbie Rotten dresses up as Sportacus, leading to a confrontation between them with the immortal words:
RR : "I am Sportacus!"
S : "No, I am Sportacus!"
A Monty Python moment. Well they had to do it sooner or later!

I can't get those songs out of my head!!!

I only get to watch with the kids on Noggin (Make that Nick Jr now, only noticed it had changed this morning). So I am well and truly fed up of seeing the same episode for the 5th time! The only one I've seen onc is something about a singing contest in a theatre.

Anyway both kids are into their shportz candee (You have to say it with an Iclandic accent), and my 5 year old boy surprised me by doing press ups the other day then raising one leg in the air and doing them!!!
