I have borrowed my friend's ipod nano so i could update the music on it. I opened itunes but i could not edit, add or remove any songs. Why is this? Do i need different software?

Also where can i download games for the ipod nano? Ive heard you can get idoom and half life.

do you see the ipod listed in itunes if so check the preferences you need to switch off the auto update so that you can manually transfer songs over as for the games yes things like doom are available for the nano but you need to get iPod Linux to be able to

iTunes doesn't let you transfer music from an iPod.

CopyPod (http://www.copypod.net) is a program that is supposed to let you transfer music from an iPod to your PC.
I've never tried it but seeing as they give you a 14 day trial it's worth a go.

I was never a fan of iTunes when I had my iPod, so I ended up using RealPlayer most of the time.

The following information is what I've found through Google. As I don't have a Nano I can't vouch for it's reliability.

It seems that you have to have Linux on the Nano in order to run games.

The guy at this link: http://ipodlinux.org/forums/viewtopi...t=5281&start=0 seems to know what he's talking about. There is a link there that gives you a 20 minute video guide to installing Linux - looks pretty thorough.
