Possible to have BT email address without BTbroadband?
Hi,
im on ntl broadband and dont intend to switch however i do have a BT phoneline and am wondering would BT be able to give me a free bt email account? (example, kiis102 @btopenworld.com or something similar) I have emailed them so im waiting for a responce but i thought id ask on here anyways, i want to use BT newsgroups :| kiis102 Last edited by KIIS102 : 29-08-2006 at 22:25. |

Looks like you can pay for one without using them as your ISP.
http://www.btopenworld.com/mail, guess it depends on how much you want it. |

I got an @btinternet.com email. Dont think BT do @BTYahoo.co.uk emails anymore.

No you have to be a BT Total Broadband customer. Newsgroup access is authenticated through a BT connection not BT email address.

If you want giganews access, pay for it.
I enjoy my ISP's news server, it's rather good and free. |

dont wana pay lol :P NTL newsgroup access is ok but cant access the main ones like alt.binaries.tv ¬_¬ at the mo i just download stargate which i can get but god help me when battlestar galactica,smallville and desperate housewives start :\
