Is anyone on the forum attending this months Strictly Sunday event at Kensington Dance Studio on 3rd September? The Strictly teacher is the man himself, Mr. Brendan Cole!

Yes do thank him for doing that!!!! We were all frustrated, that we couldn't do it ourselve's. And congratulate him for the way he handled himself generally, on Love Island.

I really want to go! And im in London that day!!!! The problem is I havnt had the 3 to 5 months training to qualify as a beginner. So annoying, maybe i should sneak in.

Is Brendan definitely back in the country by then? I thought he was going home to see his mum after leaving Love Island

If you see him please congratulate him from me for doing so well on Love Island. I'm sure he'll have lots of extra support for the next series of SCD

I was going to attend Kensington on the 3rd september, but I have a lesson at the same time with my regular teacher somewhere else who actually teachers at the same studio as where brendan is.
would loved to have made it though.

Thankyou all for wishing me a great time, but I wasn't able to go in the end.

Unfortunately my dance partner hurt her back so wasn't able to make it. I was cotemplating still going on my own, but come Saturday I wasn't feeling very well...migraine and sickness, and still wasn't right on Sunday so couldn't make it either!

Buzzy Bee - hope you had a great time and passed all the congratulations on to Brendan.

Wow - it was sooooo good I was really nervous as I'd never taken my dancing outside my usual one to one lesson with my regular teacher and I really didn't know what to expect or how much I knew!

But Brendan is a lovely guy. We did lots of work on posture, making movement and using the energy of movement to create the next move and how to relate to your partner. We put that into practice on some basic cha cha and rumba.

There were only about 16 of us which was nice, and I think most were followers rather than leaders but it really didn't matter.

He was happy to sign the SCD book and have photos taken afterwards which was great.

I learnt loads. He was excellent at explaining and so full of energy for dance, and us enjoying it.

He talked a little about Love Island - more about how it felt being back in the real world now and catching up with himself, and the fact it rained a lot but he had enjoyed it! He said he was still a bit jet lagged.

I have to say he had a nice tan

It was a great day - I'm sorry you missed it Dancing Pixie but hope you are feeling better.

Has anyone had any lessons with him privately? I would love to do that as I learnt so much and really feel that what I learnt will be useful in my regular lessons.

I think he said that they are getting their strictly partners this week...not entirely sure, but there probably will be some news about who's with who soon

oooh, I was there too - but didn't log on this site all last week!

It was fab, and he was so sweet signing all our strictly books - must have been about 6 or 7 of them!!!

Im hoping to catch up with him in next few months!!

Buzzy Bee - I'm feeling alot better now thanks. Sounds like you had a great day! I would really recommend having a private lesson with him though; you will learn loads more and being one to one he will be able to concentrate on the areas you need the most work on, or posture or technique.

I'm hoping to book some more lessons with him soon.

Glad you had a great time too, tvaddict! Did you go to the beginners or intermediate class? Also, did you get to dance with him?!

I think it'll take Brendan a few days before he gets over his jetlag. He can't have been home very long if he flew to NZ to see hims mum before coming home. I would image everything would be a bit strange for him after leaving Love Island after spending 7 weeks with people constantly.

I can't wait to find out who his partner will be for the next series of SCD and who all the celebs will be.

I was so glad when I saw other books come out - I've just moved house and remembered it on Saturday evening but didn't know the box it was in...so now I have more mess and less boxes, just so I could take the book It was worth it though

I did both classes, to be honest as he didn't teach a routine or fancy steps they weren't that different.

I sort of had a couple of brief dances as he showed different steps!
