Is there a catch ?
From what I can gather.... Five DVDs for £13.99 (introductory offer) Suits me. Then you MUST buy a further 3 DVDs in the first year and another 3 in the second year. (can you then cancel your membership?) Suits me. So there has to be a catch with that "introductory offer"...Doesn't there? |

Re:
I once belonged to the music version of Britannia. At the start they where fine, but as time progressed, I kept receiving CD's I didn't even order, and the CD's I ordered, where not the ones I recieved.
Now that was over 2 years ago, maybe there service has improved. |

I have been a member of Britannia twice - once for vinyl records (remember those) and once for CDs.
I should have learnt from the first mistake... They send you a mag each month (or so they claim) and you automatically get sent the choice of the month (about a month later) unless you send back a card to decline. The problem seemed to be we didn't always get the mag or the card got 'lost' going back to them (or lost in their system) so we finished up with all sorts of rubbish. I recently discovered and 'Eternal' CD that was sent in error and I never got round to sending back. Unfortunately this was not until after Christmas so I couldn't palm it off on a long lost niece. You can send the rouge items back but then you lose out on the 'post and packing' scam so I'm not convinced that over the two years you actually save anything. |

Of course, you can always log on to thier website every few weeks and cancel the recording of the month there.....I was a member for 2 years and never had a single problem with them.
Looking at the DVD offer it would seem that taking the opening offer and your 6 DVD commitment into account you are paying an average of £13 per disk.....not too bad if thats what you want. |

The web site idea sounds good to me - that is an improvement in their service.
On the plus side as well, they did occasionally have 'sales' or special offers and you could get some cheap CDs - perhaps they will do the same for DVDs. Good luck. |
