There has probably been a thread like this before, so apologies! However I was just wondering what everyones fave series of SCD so far has been?

For the record, mine was scd2 - just the right amount of couples, great partnerships and the best final so far!
Jill and Darren and Denise and Ian were splendiferous (if thats even a word!) and Im still addcited to watching the tapes!
Also, it gave us Brendan and Sarahs bizarro paso number and Aled and Lilias cute partnership.

Real highlight was Jill and Darrens record vreaking 40 out of 40 jive though! Goosebumpy!What do you all think?

I agree. Jill was great and , for reasons I can't quite believe now, I was totally enamoured with Aled Jones. Even watched Songs of Praise!

Series one. Might've had something to do with the fact that one of the best Latin partnerships that ever existed took part.

Or, on the other hand, it could be a completely different reason altogether!

Series 3!! Karen was in it.

Series 3, cause Anton was in it for longer, that withstanding series two was the best for partnerships.

exactly, couldn't agree more For me this was the series that changed my life.

To be honest I missed most of series one -then, when series two was on, I came in to my living room when Jill and Darren were doing THAT jive! I was hooked!

Series 2 I think it's got to be. Jill and Darren were deserved winners and their Jive was awesome. Then of course there was Aled and Lilia and I loved their partnership. As had been said above, right number of couples.

Series 3 rocked but I think there were too many couples and notable absences from some professionals which I missed.

Didn't enjoy Series 1 a lot but I liked Brendan and Natasha.

There are gonna be 14 couples this series - thats a lot! I hope they make the show longer and dont cut dance or VT time -that would be a shame.
Also, what dances are they gonna add? Or will they have double evictions? Arghh -the questions, the questions!

I'd say series 2 because both Darren and Lilia were in it till the end, coz Darren went out in week 3 in series 3. and I loved Jill and Darren. fab

series 3 coz Lilia won closely followed by series 2 coz Darren won!!

Series 3 by a mile

Watched Series I but although I loved the dancing ( especially Paul Killick) and his interaction with the judges , I found it a bit disappointing as there were no real personalities who shone through on the celebrity side.

Series 2 I grew bored with .
Again , Liked Aled and Julian and all the professionals , but was not a strong enough programme. and didn't watch until the end . Got to the stage where i didn't care who won.

My favourite by far was Series 3 .

Firstly I just loved the interaction between Karen and Bill
They just sparked off each other so well

But also I found all the celebrities, especially those who were in after the first couple of weeks, were very strong personalities who you either rooted for or against

In addition to this the professional standard of dancing was very high and the introduction of Karen Hardy made it even more so.

As Little Miss said earlier, this series changed my life as well.

I took up dancing after being inspired by Bill Turnbull.

If he could do it at his age ( a year older than me) then so could I
And I have never looked back or been so fit !!!

Also it has had the added bonus of knocking pounds off me

Yep! Exactly! I just realised that series two finals were -Ian, Erin and a 'bennett -kopylova' (as i like to call them!) and series three finals were.....................Ian, Erin and a bennett-koplova!

Best series? Definitely series 1.

Reason? Anton and Lesley

Another reason? JLC

I like Claudia but now I also like JLC, maybe the Beeb could be pursuaded to hire them both. ITT on 2 with Claudia at 6:30 and a later on at 9:30 with just JLC.

Series one, because paul killick and hanna karttunen were taking part and they are just my total dancing heroes, and they not only had the greatest dance talent but the best personalities too (imho)

Apart from that, the show was fresher, the judges weren't quite so annoying, there was only 8 couples so it didn't get boring, it stuck to the 10 ballroom and latin which I prefer, it had better celebs (lesley, chris parker, natasha, verona) and i found it just generally more entertaining.

My favourite was Series two because I liked the way the BBC weren't experimenting with silly ideas like too many couples and off the wall dances!

I also think Jill was the best dancer to date, she was fantastic to watch!

I did love series three though, because the professional dances were fantastic to watch (in fact they were my favourite part of SCD)...and of course because Lilia won!

I wasn't so keen on series one..well I didn't really watch it... besides Darren and Lilia weren't in it so I wouldn't have enjoyed it half as much!

Three was my favourite...I didn't watch much of s1, because one of the contestants annoyed me, and I didn't see much of s2 because I couldn't be bothered fighting with my dad for control of the remote on Saturdays. But I watched the whole of s3, and loved it.

It has to be SCD3 for me, and that is only for one dance - Zoe and Ian's fabulous tango. I was studying for a tango medal at the time, and watching that routine was mind bendingly wonderful.
