Series 3 ROCKED with fantastic personalities such as the sparkling, loveable Darren Gough, the feisty, sassy Karen Hardy, sweetie-pie Will Thorp, the ever-charming Anton & his cheeky "cockney-sparrer" Patsy Palmer...the list goes on. PLUS Lilia's choreograhy in Series 3 was outstanding! BUT Series 2 does it for me everytime because of that amazing Jill Halfpenny and Darren Bennett partnership - I could watch those two for hours - and I did...for months afterwards on my video tapes. No female celebrity has matched her since. And her personality was as pleasing as her dancing. Sheer pleasure...

Series 2!!!! 10 couples was the perfect number. We saw a lot more training footage and were 'closer' to everyone. And it had Aled & Lilia, who were just really cute. and Nicole!

I liked each series. I think it's watching the relationship develop between teacher and pupil, confidence growing, skill improving. It's lovely each new series.

I only saw the final of series one (i didn't know it existed before then) and that got me hooked

I loved the fabulous miss half penny in series 2, i mean wow that girl can dance! but there wasn't anyone that really shone for me, personality wise so that i'd really route for them.

However in series 3 that all changed with the brilliant partnership between bill and karen, they were a couple i could really route for, because of the brillance of karen's routines and the determination of Bill and the general fun ness of the whole partnership. i just really hope that series 4 goes so well

ive watched all 3 series religiously! and SCD just keeps getting better & better.
Series 1 i was slightly irritated as Chris Parker kept getting through and he was a terrible dancer (but thought he was good...) Plus it was clear Natasha was going to win.

series 2 was fabulous, i think my favourite for Jill & Darrens dancing and Julian Clarys wit amongst other great partnerships.

series 3 the standards kept getting better and there was a genuine 'anyone could win' final.

series 4 i cant wait, i will not be leaving the house on satudray night from now until xmas!

Well I've watched every moment and was rapt for every minute. But if I had to choose a favourite it would be series 3. Mainly I think because I was so torn. Just about everyone was fantastic and they nearly all deserved to win.

Series 2
I used to be so scared of their being a power cut or the video recorder timer not working.

I think series two worked so well because there were the right amount of couples -I mean, how many couples will there be next time?? 16????
It shows that 14 is too many for the original format as they have changed the first two weeks to 'get rid' of two couples!
Eclipse -thanks for posting the you tube videos for dancing with the stars -Jerry Springer just made my day!

I also liked serris 2 because Jill was outstanding but then again serris 1 had Chris Parker enough said and serris 3 was all about Darren gough getting better and better and in my opinion deservadly winning also getting 40/40 inf the xmas special so all serris have had there moments for me

How can people say there are too many couples?!? it means it gonna be on for even longer people! that can only be a good thing! I am very happy that its on all the way till christmas! i just wish it would hurry up and get here already! i've been waiting for weeks already!

Oooh I love watching it eveyr year and it's hard to pick. On the programme alone, then series 2 pips series 3 marginally; but, I only started posting on here for series 3, and that made the whole experience so much better

I agree with you, pipie, the mroe couples the better - it means the series is longer

I agree whole heartedly, series three was full of fantastic personalities and consistent dancers (by the way with the names there are I am sure this years will be equally as good) But looking back at Jill and Darren as i have done today, all of my SCD 2 memories came flooding back I realised just how much i miss their partnership, they had the chemistry and everything.

I am looking forward to watching this series live though, as i missed SCD1 completely, watched series 2 and 3 on sky plus on a Sunday morning because I used to work saturday nights. But that is no more and I can watch it with pleasure this year. can't wait
