dont know if this is the right place for this post but the question is do cordless phones work ive had three in the past over 5 years ago and they didnt work properly ( sent them back ) but ive just moved and it would be a perfect solution at the moment but iam put of by my past bad luck with them they were made by BT and Philips

We've had no problems with DECT cordless phones.

It's hit and miss with BT ones as some are excellent (made by Siemens) others are extremely poor, some unknown cheap Chinese manufacturer.

If you look on eBay you will find a BT Diverse X10 on there, they are very good quality, these are no longer produced, but you will find 'reconditioned'.
