There is nothing wrong with Cher's Believe.
Now the thing that I am unsure about is that last week I went out and bought a CD single for the first time in about 3 years and it was The Cheeky Song - Touch My Bum. Shoot me now.:'( |

Well, I've never been ashamed to admit the tracks I like. Shall just mention one for now..
M2M - Don't Say You Love Me (yes, the one from the Pokemon film, I believe - never seen it, but I bought their album on the strength of this track) |

Ooh god, seeing too many songs that I also secretly like on this thread.
eg. M2M - Don't Say You Love Me, A-Teens - Upside Down. Might I add these current tracks - All very good pop songs. There is nothing wrong in liking pop, it's just admitting it thats difficult. One True Voice - "Sacred Trust" Daniel Beddingfield - 'If You're Not the One' - Atomic Kitten - 'The Last Goodbye' |

Have to say ditto to The Ketchup Song but I've always liked trashy pop so it's hardly a surprise that I like it!

Actually, that song is a lot more complex than it sounds. I write music, and have looked at the song structure. first..I'd hate to try and sing it!, must take a lot of practice, because of the ryhthm and metre of the chorus. also the mixture of english and spanish?(portugese?), in the lyrics, makes it a real tongue twister. A latin feel to the backing, drums with no kick drum on the off beat, just a double beat every other beat. if you ever Listen any 'los lobos' youll get the idea. the song has a diminished chord in the intro to the chorus, a nice touch. first time Ive heard a dim chord in the singles charts for ages! the chorus is interesting as well, Instead of just singing the same melody, the key is transposed down a tone, along with the melody. basically changing key after each time the chorus is sung. then back to the original key again. a device that holds interest in the chrous, and makes it more 'catchy'. Sorry...Im waffling a bit.

Well I always thought "Just a little bit" by Gina G was a great pop song. Sounds really good if you crank it up.
I'll get my coat. |

Steps - I know him so well.
One they never released but is on their new CD 'The Last Dance' which I also bought. For shame. Kylie - Always and Forever (the NightandDay theme tune) H and Claire - DJ It's sooo catchy and the clap clap thing they do! Ooh I dreamt I met H and Claire once in a taxi. Sadly just a dream. |
