I recently got the Pioneer DVR540 and have been very impressed with it - goes very nicely with the HD-ready LCD TV with integrated Freeview tuner I got earlier in the year (using the RF loopthrough on the back of the box works, so I have a good psudo-Sky+ style setup where I can watch one Freeview channel whilst recording another).
Anyways, I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to disable the MHEG applications on these PVRs and hence not having the press red prompts etc. don't obliterate my recordings, it would be great if it was possible to do this.
