In the past four or five years I have definitely fallen behind the times. So I have a knackered Windows 98 PC that is about as slow as it can get, but is hooked up to the internet on broadband, and a Dell laptop which is more recent, but I don't use (or want to use) on the net.
I've finally decided to get an MP3 player. I looked at Sony ones, but the dealer told me I would have to have more modern operating system than W98, but also be hooked up to the net for it to work. What I WANT to do is to copy MP3s from my main PC to laptop, and then install the MP3 software on the laptop, so that I can put music on the MP3 player from the laptop.
Big questions therefore - and I really would appreciate any help on this as I am completely lost! - are:
1. Can I use a MP3 player and put music on it without my computer being hooked up to the net?
2. If I can, which MP3 player would you recommend?
Many thanks in anticipation!!
