Dead I pod
oblivian
05-09-2006
My I pod photo has died and I was wondering if anyone could recommend somewhere I could get it repaired please.
The screen is just blank, every now and then I can get the Apple logo to appear for a few seconds but then it will go away.
Also nothing at all happens when I plug it in to the PC.
Really miss it so any help would really be welcomed thank you.
I also have an 18 month old I pod with the black and grey screen that had the screen cracked by my 3 year old son, is there anywhere that could repair this please that anyone knows of?
Many thanks.

I think you've got a dead battery.
The same thing happened to me last year......
I sent my i pod to a battery replacement firm who replaced and fitted a new battery
The i pod now works fine........

Seems strange how it doesnt even do a thing when I connect it to the PC tho.
Wonder if you have any details to the people that repaired yours please.

here's the ipod doctor
I'd recommend letting them fit the battery otherwise it can be costly if you balls it up........

If the battery is dead nothing will power it, not even off the mains......

Rule one: never, EVER, buy any product with a built-in battery which you cannot change.

When will people learn?

Just wanted to update this and once again thank you for the help.
All is still working ok, I can only assume the battery had become fully discharged and that was why nothing worked even when plugged in to the PC.
Many thanks again.
