I'm looking to buy a DivX player to watch DivX video in my room and in the living room (so it needs to be portable).
I have only found devices with the 3 component outputs, red, yellow, and yellow (sometimes S-Video too) but these are standard composite connections so the output is not as good as SCART. I would prefer a SCART one but was wondering whether there's any point in that. Why am I thinking this?
I'm wondering whether DivX videos have RGB (or equivalent) quality in the first place. If they don't, then using standard composite outputs red, white and yellow will be fine. If they most DivX videos 'available' are encoded in RGB (or equivalent), then a better connection such as SCART would offer a better picture.
So my questions are does anyone know whether most of the DivX shows 'available' are in RGB (or equivalent) quality? Will using red, white and yellow outputs rather than SCART affect the quality of the picture a lot as a result?
I can tell the difference between an RGB and Composite picture from DVD Player or Digibox (Sky and Freeview) and much prefer RGB.
Is there a DivX player available with SCART output (apart from DivX DVD Players)?
Many thanks guys.
