ipod on hifi???

is it possible to play the ipod on a standard hifi? do you need some special kit?

i know of the ipod tape convertion thing but i was wondering it it can be done with a line in /out cable?

You can just plug a cable into the 3.5mm headphone socket and connect that to your hi-fi, although of course it won't be a line level output and you'd have to take care in terms of the volume of your iPod. Alternatively their are a myriad of connectors that go into the dock connector which can get a line signal to your hi-fi - Apple's own actual Dock does it for a start.
