Robbies a great entertainer but not that nice of a person........
Sorry if i've offended anyway...... As you can see i'm a Take That fan so i have respect for what he does and fair play to him he got there in his own right but at the show he said........ He said the usual ...."i would have done the TT tour, but i had the small matter of a 3million pound world tour of my own to do"...or words to that effect. Then he was being well condescending "Come on everybody this is for Take That" I know prob alot of people will defend Robbie and i like him to as a singer but why does he have to keep going over old ground.......he keeps saying he doesn't want to be associated with them.....he Robbie there Take that......so why does he bloody keep mentioning them and havin a swipe at them all the time......... I just so don't get it...........why can't Rob just move on....... Anna.XXXXXXX |

Rob last night.....
Seemed a bit under weather to start with and then got into it. Really enjoyed the concert....always wonder how much he's really enjoying himself though. DId he seem slightly tired underneath it all ....said he wasnt well that morning. Great to start with radio, and still the old faves the best. Rudebox....mediocre even with the enhanced backing singers and loads of lighting effects.... Kids still works surprisingly well and is received really well by crowd. Think he needs to write some more melodious lyrical songs-still his strength after all this time. Great band.....love the guitarist. ROB, if you read this, I have penned some ideas for you. Go and make my dreams come true and at least entertain them!!! ( ho ho...) Could attach them via a Sibelius file if ya wanted. I am an experienced musician btw ! |

Poorly Rob but still better than the rest!
Hi all,
Hope everyone enjoyed last night, I managed to get home to Manchester in an hour and 10 so not too bad at all - guess all the press about 50 mile tailbacks etc was blown out of proportion - what a suprise... Thought Rob sounded dodgy and was obviously really ill (fell over / forgot words in advertising space), but the way i see it Rob at 50% is still miles better than most of the the charts! I thought the second half was fantastic and Jonny Wilkes sounded great. I agree Rudebox sounds way better live, and guess we will just have to trust RW that his next album is a cracker! All in all a fantastic day... really tempted to buy MK tix now!!! Minxy |

I was at Friday's show, didn't see all of Saturday on Sky (though recorded it). Rob seemed on better form on Friday than he appeared on Sky. Maybe he was ill and that wasn't just a gag?!
Fantastic show, but why bring on Wilkes? It totally flattened the whole show and people were booing round us when he came on. I enjoyed Rob's swing stuff at the time, I just don't think there's a place for it in the live set anymore, it's so different. At most Wilkes should've sung Strong with him if he really had to, then get off stage and leave it to the pro! On Friday it took Rob 2 or 3 more songs after that to really get everyone back into it... personally, I'd also drop Back for Good, and put in No Regrets which would get everyone back into the show again. Minor quibbles though, and one of the best live shows and most visually stunning productions I've ever seen. |

This was not RW at his best. It looked like like he was really flagging by the end. It took me 6 songs or so to get into it - too many talky bits. I wonder if it hadn't been on Sky, would he have cancelled / postponed? I still enjoyed it (thought Orson & BJaxx were excellent), but it didn't compare to Knebworth 3 years ago. I guess this is the back-end of the summer tour and he's bound to be getting tired. I wonder how he'll cope with 5 gigs in 6 days at MK?

I was there and loved every minute of Robbies set. I was just behind the golden circle and had an alright view, but loads of people end up pushing in front of people who had been there all afternoon, i got pushed forward by people pushing in and it got me separated from my boyfriend and then the people who had been pushing me wouldn't let him come to me when there was alittle space for him, they ruined Basement Jaxx for us really, they should split the fields into sections so that they have a set number of people in a certain section that way you don't get these people coming in and ruining it. - Sorry for the rant there!!
Robbie was ace, loved the stage, loved the set, was a great show, just waiting to see it on tv now!!! Coul;dn't find anyone to tape it for me and it's repeated this week so on a mission, or if anyone has taped it and can copy it for me???? Please please please????? Would pay any costs!!? |

I have it on DVD minus about the last 2 mins of Kids (the show ran for 2 hours and enough minutes to cut it off!).
If anyone wants a copy, PM me. But yes, Friday's show did seem to be better than what I've seen of Saturday's... |

I saw bits of it and the sound wasn't great but when I was at his concert in croke park in june the sound wasn't great either. For me Robbie is still a great entertasiner- I've beent o 3 of his concerts over the years and he's great. I don't think he was being condescending towards take that, he always dedicates a song to them, it used to be as a piss take but he doesn't sing it as a piss take anymore

Even though RW was below par (in my view) it was still a good concert. I've been to a few other big gigs like this and some of them were rubbish (Bon Jovi at Wembley comes to mind). My view is slightly tainted by not being in the best place - not far from the front of the non-inner circle section (would have been better off on one of the banks i think) and nealry getting into a fight right at the start when a drunk pushed past and took offence at being told to say 'excuse me'!

Hi, I went to Leeds on Saturday and thought it was great, but I have to admit Robbie did seem unwell when I watched it back on TV. Don't knock Jonny Wilkes, I thought he was good and showed support to his best friend Robbie. Just wondered does anyone have any good photos of the night or know where I could get some from, I got some pretty good ones of Orson, but then my camera decided to play up. I would be willing to share my photos in return.
After Knebworth you could send for some professional photos of the night but there was nothing this time. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks Carrie x |

Watched it on tele and i agree that it wasn't as good as knebworth but it was still ace, him doing "hello sir" was probably the best bit for me. Still not 100% sure about rudebox but i'm sure his album will still b great

We were at the concert on the 9th on the bank at the back. Robbie was like an ant in the distance! the sound was very poor at the start, we could hardly hear him and the crowd around us starting booing & chanting 'turn it up' but it got sorted fairly quickly.
Im looking forward to seeing the sky 1 show as i didnt see much at the concert but still enjoyed the atmosphere. the 'scrum' for buses home was an experience and we got back to huddersfield in 3 hours! |

Went to the concert on the Saturday, Orson were great, Basement Jaxx fantastic and Robbie was brill, not Knebworth by any means but didnt expect it to be.
Downside of the day was fighting, quite a few fights broke out near us and some people were so totally drunk they couldnt walk, was also very very crowded, we had plenty of room to start with but then more and more people pushed in, we were on the left of the stage (as you look at it) on the bank, good view but dunno whether it should have held 90,000 people. I live an hour away from Leeds but still didnt get home till 3am the car park was horrendous. |
