Don't knock Jonny Wilkes, I thought he was good and showed support to his best friend Robbie

Yeah, well he can do that best from the side of the stage like every other act in history. You don't see Bono bringing his mate on for a laugh, do you?

From where I was standing it was about 50/50 boos and polite applause when he came on. That whole section spoiled about 20 mins of the show.

I quite liked seeing Johnny Wilkes, but possibly because I'm aquainted with the guy and I love him anyway, let alone when on stage. Shame people didn't enjoy it, cause I did.

Well it was also the choice of song. Me and My Shadow just didn't fit into the show.

I though Jonny was on a bit too long too, if he really wanted to bring him on they could've maybe just sung Strong together - brought him on to lead the 'karaoke'.

Ok, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, fair enough, some people maybe didn't enjoy him, but everyone was chanting Jonny, Jonny, Jonny around us, they were hoping it was him coming on stage.

I'm the same though, I have always liked Jonny so maybe I am biased

I also agree about the rediculas amount of drinking people were doing, a few fights broke out around us because of the drunks, which did spoil it a bit.

Either way, I had a fantastic day on Saturday.

I was there on Saturday and I thought Robbie was brilliant. I've had a chest infection since the beginning of last week and I walked there and back with a pretty high temperature, I was really ill all day Sunday but I've definitely got 'No Regrets' (sorry!) and would do the exact same thing again if i had to!!!

Me and my friend enjoyed the stuff with Johnny, but then we loved the swing album and are quite biased towards Johnny as well!

I can't believe how drunk some people were. I like a drink as much as the next person, but what is the point of going if you're not even going to remember it the next day!?

I think that having Jonny on stage is gr8 for the gig. It adds some more entertainment. When I was at Knebworth Rob brought on Mark Owen from TT and it went down really well. Personally I am really looking forward to Saturday at MK when - hopefully Robbie will be fighting fit and ready to blow us away.

I went to the gig last weekend and I was a little disappointed. I don't believe he was well, and he did say in the beginning that he had called the doctor in the morning - thought it was just talk, but would appear not!
I love Robbie's stuff, don't get me wrong (and I would definately see him again given the chance) but I have seen better! Knebworth tops it for me, closely followed by Live8. The sound was pants by us too - almost caused a full scale war but then they seemed to have sorted it out eventually!
I love Rudebox live, but it just isn't the same on the radio - will be buying the CD to add to my collection in any case...

That happened at the TT gigs as well - i know we're all older and supposedly wiser, but people were downing illuminous alcohol like it was going out of fashion, both at the arena and the stadiums - then spent most of the show stumbling over everyone to get to the toilets

Lol i opened this thread then never posted again (went away the day after the concert and got bk today!) Yeah he obviously wasnt well but he still did an amazing show!

I liked the Jonny Wilkes bit - loved it when Rob said about some of us might have seen Jonny get a goal past Peter Schmichael - i was 10 rows behind the goal at Soccer Aid when he scored and as soon as Robbie mentioned it i screamed my head off!!!
