Chewed Internet Phone Cable - Can It Be Fixed?
Hi.
I'm not sure if this can be done, but our puppy chewed my internet cable which slots into the back of my PC in my bedroom yesterday morning. Does anyone know if this cable (which is now in two pieces) can be put together again using some kind of connector? We could replace the cable which comes directly from our phone line, but this would mean putting up all the floor boards from my room to downstairs which would probably cost us more money as a result. So we're looking for an easy solution if poss. |

I think we would need to get someone in professionally to fit a new cable. We are hoping to save all this from getting done, we could repair the cable instead. I will ask around a few electricians, but I think you're right this is now beyond repair

I've just phoned a local phone cable engineer who will call out later this morning to have a look at it. Fingers crossed he can fix it. |

Thankfully, the engineer has come out and inspected the chewed cable and has fitted a junction box on the wall next to my PC and has re-fitted the cable from this to the back of my PC and I'm now back online. It cost me just £30 so not to bad at all and saves us getting someone in to bring up the floor boards to re-fit or replace the whole cable from the phone line
