I am a big fan of the Pointer Sisters and I was watching a few of their videos on You Tube (Dare Me and I'm So Excited).

I love their songs, they so dancy and really catchy! I particularly loveone of their songs Goldmine, I don't think it was a single but it's really good!

Does anyone else like them or have any of their records/albums?

I was sad to hear that June had passed away due to cancer!

I also loved their fashion sense as well, they could be trendy and wacky when the wanted to be!

Anyway, I love the Pointer Sisters, they made/make really good music!

They were an OK pop band in the 80's

'Dare Me' and 'Jump' were good songs

Nothing particularly memoerable about them though.

Yeah Automatic, Slowhand, Dare Me and So Excited all quality songs. Did a pretty reasonable cover of I Feel For You as well.

One of my faves from the 80s. I have a greatest hits with the divine Automatic and Jump, plus the lesser known Dare Me and Neutron Dance. Loved Girls Aloud doing Jump. I'm quite surprised that nobody has covered I'm So Excited...

Check out the first Pointer Sister album (1973)... totally different from the 80's pop, but really fantastic. Yes We Can Can is a terrific track.

Their 'Break Out' album was one of my favourites as a child and today - since bought the follow-ups Contact, Hot Together, Serious Slammin (Fabulous) and Right Rhythm. A class act
