For people with taste Crossroads will be back on January 6th and it should be refreshing change to the crap that Eastenders churns out.

EastEnders Crap.............oh well then you really haven't been watching Crossroads haven't you? Because their acting is terrible.

Well I won't get into a flame war but Jane Gurnett, Tony Adams, Sherrie Hewson, Gilly Gilchrist, Rebecca Hazlewood, Colin Wells and Anne Charleston (I could go on) aren't what I'd call terrible actors.

the cheesy acting is part of the style, as are the ludricrous plots. You can't have realistic performances in the show. It just wouldn't feel like Crossroads if you did.

Perhaps you should wait and see - I'm not a crossroads fan, but from press reports it sounds like they have cast a number of good experienced actors - and I, for one think its about time we had a bit of glamour and glitz on tv instead of all that doom and gloom in so-called "real life" soaps.

I don't know what it is about Crossroads - no matter how good the actors are, the acting always seems to be rubbish and wooden. Yet you see the same actors in something else and there's a world of difference. Perhaps it's the writing.

Carlton have released the details today and confirm that Crossroads will return to ITV1 on January 13th at 17.30.

It's funny when I think of Eastenders the words "tired" "depressing" and "cliched" come to mind. Yet when I think of Crossroads the words "glamorous", "escapist" and "fresh" come to mind.

i was hoping it was gone for good, no offence to ppl that like it, i just don't. Although i don't really like eastenders either.

maybe it would do it some good if they put eastenders to bed for a while - they could demolish the square and rebuild it as something else - any suggestions as to what?

I really like Eastenders but I really like Crossroads aswell and I don't think they should take Enders off as it is so popular!!

Crossroads needs to get it's own fan base which I'm sure it will!! I'm a big Crossroads fan and can't wait for it's return on the 13th!! Anyone know what the revamped theme tune will be like?

Experienced actors? I heard they were lining up Emma Noble. It's an OK soap, better than anything else thats on at tea time anyway. I always thought it was quite limited though, what with it being just the Hotel as you cant have guests as characters and all the staff will be doing is working, so there was never much new.

When it comes back will all the houses be finished? because if they are, then it would be better because they could focus on the hotel as well as the familys.

Crossroads is crap and Neighbours is far better. And Neighbours returns from its Xmas break tomorrow 2nd of Jan and it far better than Crossroads so look at Neighbours instead
