If Sean is so bored why doesn't he do us all a favour and hit the road? |

Dennis wasn't a bad guy at all, he was easily led. He had a bad childhood, his mother was never there for him and he eventually ended up having Jack Dalton as a father figure. And Grant was a thug, he wasn't very clever in his actions and all he ever did is beat a few people up. Sean on the other hand has no reasoning for his behaviour. He only cares about himself and if he wants something he doesn't give a toss if someone else is hurt in the process. He's a manipulative, calculating, deceitful, arrogant, insensitive pig and that is exactly why he's so fantastic. I agree with you and the only ex EastEnder I would say was like him is maybe Dan Sullivan as I touched upon in the other thread. |

Has it been explained about Sean's past? I was on holiday when he first came into it and now I have no idea. Does Jean know her son is in Walford?

Sean is nothing like Dennis at all. Dennis was a decent bloke, Sean isn't.
I think he's a great addition to the cast as well. He's played by a very strong, intense actor & he is very unique. He's just a little bit mad isn't he! I think he's brilliant!

He's a good enough actor, but I really don't like the character.

I'd go along with that Fizzy Dog. But at least his character is interesting.
I think he's great. |

Am I right in thinking that will be in October?! We've been told that Sean left on Christmas morning, 3 weeks after their dad's funeral. Stacey thought he'd be back, but everybody else gave up hope. Jean got rid of all his photos, and won't talk about him. And I think Stacey's worried about how she'll react. |

Thanks very much. Jean's such a good actress that I think her scenes with Sean will make the character better. He really irritated me tonight, I think he is too Dennisesque too soon.

I really do hate arrogant characters and Sean tips the iceburg on that level. What's his purpose? What will we see next Tanya having an affair with him. God give me strength.

Is the reason for his behaviour not the fact his dad died - he ran away from home - he joined the army, which he loved being part of as he mentioned with the rules etc! Then his best mate shoots him and he is kicked out the army and he still hasn't got over it?

I saw the actor on Dream Team the other day. It seemed he was playing exactly the same character, no different at all.
As always, as soon as a male character is vaguely attractive all impartial judgement on acting ability and character devlepment fly out of the window and the girlies get venomously defensive. (Oh, and Heat magazine will no doubt jump on the bandwagon too) Last edited by jonparadise : 13-09-2006 at 08:29. |

I agree that Sean is a waste of space. His introduction was lame, and his 'mate' , the seccurity guard, hasn't been mentioned since their dust up; you'd have thought with Chelsea and Ruby eyeing him up someone might have noticed he'd left the square!
Sean is just a bad boy for the sake of it; Stacey hasn't seen him in years, but hasn't asked him one single question about what he's been up to, but allows him to lecture her about her pregnancy and relationship with Bradley, and I may have missed something, but have they spoken about their mother yet? |

Yes, what happened to his mate - Al wasn't it? Is he gone for good? I thought he was a much more interesting character than Sean, who looks to me not at all mean and dangerous but simply moronic - especially when he grins.

I have to agree with the first poster on this. Sean is a very annoying pointless cardboard cut out.
Also they're playing thsi out in a very unrealistuic manner. If that were my nephew and i'd allowed him to stay in my house and all he gave me was grief he'd be out, no arguments. How old is he suppossed to be anyway? He looks about 30 but can only be 22-24. Get rid of this idiot. And while you're at it, hurry up and kill Sonia will you. |

Sean is not a copy or is he a cliche. Sean is a bad boy who has nothing likeable about him and has no redeeming qualitys what so ever. Thats why he is very interesting and is going to be a great character.
