Which Sat nav? NavMan ICN330 or GARMIN I3

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Which Sat nav? NavMan ICN330 or GARMIN I3 should I go for?

Total newbie , never used a sat nav before.

Can you update the maps on the NavMan ICN330 and GARMIN I3?

Do they show the safety cameras as standard or can you upload them?

What happens if you don't know the post code of the place you want to get to?

Any other advice on what to look for

I believe the navman 330 WILL NOT allow you to add speed cameras, but the Garmin one does as I used to have it.

I bought the navman 330 the day from comet for £150 down £12 and it looks good. I looked at the Garmin for near the same price but did not like the look of it. The navnan comes with a SD card with the UK and Ireland maps and they are up to date to Jan 06. You can buy updated maps online I had a look and they will send you them. Best waiting till the next updated maps come out in Jan or Feb 07. navman 330 don`t let you add speed camaras but apart from that it looks great and the 3D mapping is good. If you dont know the postcode you can type in the street name and if you know the door number that as well. The battery for the navman 330 lasts just under 4 hour fully charge dand it can be charge via the car ciger lighter or whatever you call it now a days.

I Have the Garmin Nuvi 360 it speaks the road names, is so much better becauser you dont need to look at the screen as often as you just look for the road it wants you to turn into. Only thing about it is it warns you of speed cameras miles away from them lol there must be a way to change that but havnt figured it out yet.
