Cant believe no one started this thread already.

Its the 10 year anniversary of the murder of Tupac Shakur. Just wanted to take the time out to say RIP Tupac.

Nice of you to start this thread, even if I'm not a massive Tupac fan.
RIP mate.

Wow! 10 years?! Doesn't seem possible. I liked Tupac, shame he didn't get to go back into acting, they reckon he'd have been a great actor.

TEN YEARS!? Omg. Wow. It's sad, he was too young.

RIP Tupac.

I agree. No matter what your intentions are, if you want to portray a certain persona there's always going to be someone out there who's going to take you seriously.

There's a good column about him and his character assassination here: http://www.hiphopdx.com/index/columns-editorials/id.625

It's definitely worth reading, especially if you currently believe he was no more than a one-dimensional gangster rapper who only ever rapped about guns, bitches and money...

Was anyone surprised about how he met his end?

That article is a crock of shit. I have no respect for Tupac as an artist, but not because I think he is some kind of thugged out gangsta.

All I ever hear whenever he is mentioned is how he was socially conscious and politically aware, and wasn't just a thug or a gangsta. So what record is this guy trying to set straight? It's a response to a statement I don't see anyone making and haven't in years.

It's time people stopped trying to right the non-existent wrong of Tupac's legacy and let the poor bastard rest in piece.
