Vonage/Freetalk
I used to subscribe to Freetalk, but had many problems with them, so I cancelled.
I'm now thinking about using Vonage, but I'm unsure what I need: I have Virgin.net Broadband, with a Thomson Speedtouch 330 USB modem. I do have an ethernet card on my PC. Would the Motorola VT2442 be ok, or would I need anything else to connect up. I also use a BT line (ADSL) to connect my broadband as Cable isn't available in my area. Thanks! |

Freetalk just transfered to Vonage so I would imagine all the equipment you used for that would suffice. However give vonage a call. I found their CS staff very helpfull in the past...

See http://www.freetalk.co.uk/vonage/
What they dont make clear, is that you need to take out a 12 month contract with Vonage, and should you cancel within 99 days you need to pay a rebate on the adapter they send to you, plus a 23.99 disconnection fee. Also if you cancel before your year is up , but after 99 days, you will still have to pay the 23.99. |
