Sandie Thom - 'What if I'm right'

This song is so ANNOYING, that stupid noise that keeps playing sounds like it should be on a KFC advert

Both Sandie Thom and Lilly Allen are the worst music acts of 2006 for me - both truly awful.

I don't think I'd ever want to listen to anything else by someone who did a record as vomit inducing as 'I wish I was a punkrocker'.

Obviously you have no taste in music those who hate it. Sandi Thom is one of best original artists that the UK music scene has seen for a while. She's different, talented and far superior to the copycat bands and hiphop/r&b crap we are used to nowadays.

Agree. I've never really got Lily Allen either.

I hate hip-hop and rnb. And she's only different because no-one else out there does anything as bad as she does. I'm sorry but both songs are awful. Rubbish tune, average voice truly terrible, idealistic nonsense lyrics... there's just no feeling or depth in there at all. Maybe I (and others) just don't get her like you do. But don't start saying that people have no music taste because they don't like her.
If you want to hear some really decent music go and get this weeks No1 album- every track is amazing.

Erm obviously. Or maybe our taste is just different and possibly superior to yours?

For someone so apparently talented, her lyrics are downright rubbish. In this song, it sounds like she's written one line and then tried desperately to change the word order and sentence structure of the couplet line to make it rhyme.

You'll always be as handsome
And your weight will never gain
And when I give birth to our children
I will feel no pain

WTF?!

I have to agree with this.

I'm sure I read somewhere that she been likened to Janis Joplin.

In my opinion, her so-called 'talent' is overstated, as are the tall stories about her being the internet sensation who made it big overnight.

I like her album in general, but this song (what if I'm right) has kinda weird lyrics.

Well I ain't sure about that but a lot of *new* artists are now using the internet to help them breakthrough. Myspace.com for instance.

Surprised that people hate it so much. I really like it - catchy, uplifting and different. Good stuff.

That said, I also liked 'Punk Rocker', so I bought her album. I guess as a 'fan', I'm biased, but let's face it - there are plenty worse records about at the moment.

(I do agree that the lyrics are a tad silly in parts. But I like the gist: yeah, everything seems perfect in this relationship and I know things'll be good - but I have my doubts, and what if I'm right? I can relate to that...)
