Transferrring photos from digi camera to computer

Hi

Recently I bought a Kodak C330. Been trying to transfer the photos from camera to hard drive via a USB cable. I'm doing exactly what the instruction manual tells me to, but something isn't working.

It seems like it should be so simple, but everytime I try it, it just says "file is not transferred". It doesn't explain why, but it happens every time. I don't think there's a problem with the cable, because my PC recognises the pictures that I've taken, it just doesn't allow them to be transferred.

Anyone know of a solution?

How fast is the USB cable concerned? Do you have the camera turned on when you try to transfer? Is the software loaded right? Thats all the questions i go through if something goes wrong.

Not sure how fast the cable is, but it came along with the camera, so there shouldn't be a problem, should there?

Yeah, the camera is turned on. And the software seems to be working just fine. I can play with pics that are already existing on my PC, it's just transferring the ones from my camera that I'm having problems with. I've tried reinstalling it a few times, and still no luck.

The answer could be that you might have to install the driver from the internet. I have found that my Ipod did not work with the disk provided and I had to download it from the apple site.

Gotcha. I'll try that.
