Ipod Nano Black 8GB-£169
After owning a white ipod nano 4gb for 9 months I decided to upgrade to the 8gb black nano. What a remarkable piece of kit. Has anyone else purchased the new nano and what do you think? I am thinking i should have just stuck with my 4gb white and not be greedy, but ho hum!

Haven't purchased and won't be purchasing one. Massively overpriced for what they are, especially when you consider you can buy a 30GB iPod for more or less the same price.

yeh, it does seem stupid that a 30Gb Video is just ten quid more. i would go for that if i were to buy an ipod for that price range.

You have to consider whether a thinner device with flash (better for sport etc.) and a much better battery life is better than having a 30GB HDD and Video playback in a larger enclosure.

I mean 169 is far to expensive, apple still going to make alot of money out of that model because it is black looks the best out of all. Its still the samr price with student discount.

I bought a Blue nano and like the black one I like the feel of the alminum - easier to hold and the screen is nice and brighter also...

I love when new iPods come out as the old ones get cheaper. I bought my 3G 20GB ipod just after the 4G was launched and got it for £179. Just ordered a 60gb 5G for £175!!! only £6 more than the 8gb nano.

If you want 6GB of music then why not buy a zen Micro Photo. Its around £120 on amazon.
What do you get for that extra £50?

You can get £15 off a nano from John Lewis online using a coupon.
Found it on HotUKDeals.com, and used it. It arrived yesterday, LOVE it! Glad I waited. I was going to get the 4GB one but with £15 off, I thought I'd go for the 8GB one for £154, free delivery and in plain black. |

I bought the 8gb black nano last week after upgrading from my 6gb ipod mini, i couldnt believe the size difference when i got the nano home. I am really pleased with it but i agree it is a bit on the pricey side when you can get the 30gb 5th gen ipod with video for around the same price. The new headphones which are supplied with the new ipods are a lot more comfortable in the ear and the new search feature is also usefull if you have a lot of songs to scroll thru.
